About Me

I love dogs. I have six. They truly are perfect creations. I don’t mind if they lick my face, and they don’t mind pooping on my antique rugs.

I love food. Paris, Soho, or Positano. I love to eat. Would I like to see the dessert menu? Heck yeah. Life is all about the sweet parts.

I love shoes! Everything about how we feel starts from the feet.

I love people. Watching. Talking. Laughing. Give me the colorful ones, even if they are a little crazy. It’s a quaint combination of craziness and kindness that I adore.
I love my husband, Gerry, a renowned real estate developer who has been making me laugh for the past eight years. He’s dashing, charming, and as stylish as a straight man can be.

Between us we have five exceptional children, Alex, Michael, Gregory, Amanda, and Trenten. We’re constantly traveling and regularly taking big family trips all over the world, but we keep returning to Aspen, New York, and St. Barth’s.

Amanda (19) and Edith, her French bulldog, in NYC, where she interned for Alberta Ferretti. Mandy makes friends easily and breaks hearts even easier. Life drops rose petals in front of her. A charmed and charming young woman.
Michael (24) with his girlfriend in Aspen for the Cache Cache New Year’s party. Mike tells it as he sees it. Much of the time he’s dead on. He’s a leader because people trust him. Also, he loves a good party.

Gregory. He has the brains and ambition to set the world on fire. A born entrepreneur, he’s not averse to risk, as you can see here in an Aspen grotto where he’s jumping into freezing cold water.

Writer-filmmaker-actor Alex has many passions. Literature, design, exercise. and his home city of New York. He may even love food more than I do. But really he loves women above all else.
Trenten loves his sister. He’s my baby, and just as adorable as he was as a toddler. He’s smart, sweet, and always the coolest guy in the room.

The more I share my life, the more I enjoy it. This is why, as an entrepreneur, I have always been attracted to businesses that serve people. After I completed my MBA, I worked in my family’s health care company before going on to create Philipe’s Day Spa, the leading full-service human body shop in Indianapolis. At its peak, I sold Philipe’s to a national conglomerate, then started Rescu Cosmetique, a Los Angeles based retail chain selling high-end cosmetics and skin care products. French Pharmacie was inspired by my love for the French aesthetic, and born as a natural expansion of my home and my closet. Like my previous businesses, it was established under my belief that when we feel our best we are at our best.

French Pharmacie is more than a place to buy great things. It’s a celebration. It’s a paragon of style. It’s a state of mind. FP brings couture and furnishings to a city that needs a richer palette. It diversifies bodies and minds. It shows people new ways to look, new ways to be. The main floor at FP. You never know what you’ll find. Or what might be there one day and gone the next…

FP events import the exotic. Trunk shows, runway shows, and pieces only seen in the couture houses of Paris. There I am holding the infamous Birkin Bag, which I gave away that night in a raffle. Designers visit, and sometimes bring models. A taste of New York fashion week in Broadripple Indiana. Our clients can always count on another event around the corner. As our invite list grows, the parties get bigger. Below, that’s me with Brazilian jewelry designer Jack Bartanian when he visited in May.

FP is only as good as its people. And that’s why we are so darn good.

Me, Stacy Kosene, founder, dreamer and doer.

Karen Karen, my great friend and long time associate. She is the office manager, as well as the Stacy manager. Simply put, she is the midwife to everything I have created.

Amy Amy recently joined FP as a full time salesperson. She has a great smile, maybe that’s because she used to work at a dental office. So, you know she’s just wonderful with people and her breath smells great.

Jessica Jessica keeps me and everybody laughing. As a salesperson she is “the best”. Her sense of humor is only rivaled by her sense of style. When she’s not on the floor at FP she’s either in the Hamptons or a Formula 1 race somewhere in Europe.

Merideth Meredith, from Zionsville, IN, is not only pretty, but smart. She works part time while attending Parsons School of Design in New York. She has a great eye and is the only one of us who speaks fluent French. So, if you prefer to parler en Francais on your visit, just let us know.
