Receiving a BFA in photography and art history from Indiana University, owner Danny Cheshire’s artistry is evident in his craft. Each style he creates results in the ever elusive no-fuss ease, much like the bohemian rockstars from the 60’s and 70’s that most inspire him.
Danny first gained attention early in his career with crop cuts, pixies, and textured bobs. He was included in the popular, Indy Monthly hair issue, highlighting Indianapolis’ most talented stylists. Danny has found new love in creating popular modern shag’s using a straight razor. Mastering this tool has led him to creating fashion forward personalized fringe, bangs, and face framing- which he strongly believes every haircut should possess in some aspect.
Before owning the French Pharmacie Danny was an educator for the famous NYC based Bumble and bumble and has trained extensively at their New York headquarters. Danny’s talents in coloring include hand painted highlights, dimensional coloring, and tricky blonde bombshells. According to the tarot his strengths include an adventurous spirit, psychic insight, and an overactive imagination.
